In our young toddler room we help them strive for independence. We believe that letting children discover on there own helps build social/emotional skills. This is the prime age for the "no I will do it" phase. We stand close and let the children help themselves when it come to picking on toys, markers, and even trying to put on their coat. We have a wonderful staff that helps give children the support they need be to successful.
When your child first enters the classroom we understand it will take time to adjust to a more structured schedule and the teachers are well trained on helping each child achieve success in the transition. We give you a copy of the schedule so before your child begins you can start helping them get into a similar routine.

What to bring for your child
The following items need to be provided by the families. As items run low the teachers will let you know by writing it on your child’s daily report.
Diapers – You can bring extra, we have room to store them.
Wipes
One snack per day.
Change of clothes that can be left at school in case of accidents.
Pacifier (if your child uses one). We typically begin weaning the children at this age. Typically when your child is ready we will try to only use the pacifier during nap time.
An item from home that can be comforting for your child, such as a blanket or special toy.
Diaper cream, if used.
